Principal World Travel is a small, independently owned business travel agency, in business for over 20 years.

Why is independence an advantage?

It means we are not tied into contracts with any particular hotel chains, airlines, tour operators etc. We simply use our resources to offer the best solutions to your brief, in accordance with company travel policy and traveller wellbeing.

Why is small an advantage?

We are a small friendly team. When clients contact us, they know they will reach someone they know and who knows them. The Call Centre approach works for some organisations, who need hundreds of consultants on hand to service enquiries. Our focus is individual travellers and companies with a small to medium size travel budget. We take the time to get to know our clients, to work with them and tailor make booking & finance procedures exactly right for their circumstances.

We strive to become the company’s ‘Travel Department’ … part of your team … and we work hard to build strong, lasting relationships.

What does this mean?

You won’t be passed from department to department as one consultant takes care of the flights, another looks at the hotel, another the car hire … that’s just tiresome. Our consultants are fully trained to work with you on all aspects of your business travel needs, so you have one point of contact during the entire process.

We know the focus is on those doing the travel and booking the travel however we work equally as hard with those responsible for the post process admin & finance. No reams of receipts and invoices for them; we consolidate the process and tailor make our systems to work seamlessly with yours.

Ingrid Sanderson

I founded Principal Business Travel in 1999 and have worked hard to create a vibrant agency, committed to 100% customer service. I have always strived to be part of my customers’ team and look after our travellers when they are on the road, anywhere in the world as their travel PA. This ethos is echoed throughout our business. Aside from a two-year management training course at Harrods, I have always worked in travel, both corporate and leisure but the business sector is where my heart lies.

Outside of work, I love family time and catching up with friends. I also enjoy reading, though never have the time, try to run regularly and can often be found planning my next holiday!

Jenny Prince

I have been a director since the Company’s inception in the year 2000.

I bring experience from 30 years in financial services, specialising in administration, strategic planning and corporate transactions. With a business partner, I ran our own Consultancy from 1997 to 2008.

At Principal Business Travel, I am involved in strategy, administrative support, licensing and governance.

Away from business, I like to travel, walk, cycle, develop craft skills and socialise with family and friends, preferably in hot places!

I have been with Principal Business Travel since 2015 in charge of Accounts and Administration; a busy role that is growing all the time along with the lovely admin team.

A previous 20-year career in garden centres working in management and retail visual merchandising, and several projects I have managed since then, have given me a strong eye for detail which helps to keep all processes ship-shape and up to date - this enables me to provide a personal and efficient accounts service to our clients.

Outside of work family, socialising, walking the dogs, garden projects and garden design along with travelling and skiing, when possible, keeps me very busy.

Lindsay Naylor

As Reservations Manager at Principal Business Travel, I’m part of the front-line booking team—responding quickly and efficiently to all client travel requests. From flights and hotels to car hire and travel logistics, I help ensure every booking runs smoothly, liaising closely with our Meetings & Events team and advising on travel restrictions where needed. I also oversee quality control, manage supplier communications, and make sure everything’s in order for our accounts team to invoice accurately.

Alongside my core reservations role, I’ve recently taken on additional responsibilities in Business Development, Operational Admin, and Client Account Management. Whether it’s supporting our corporate clients day-to-day, helping streamline internal processes, or contributing to the future growth of Principal, I enjoy the variety and challenge each day brings. Supporting the team is still a big part of what I do—and something I really value.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about learning upholstery (there’s something very satisfying about restoring a chair!) and I’m a big rugby fan. Most Sundays, you’ll find me pitch-side - cheering on my two boys at their training sessions, come rain or shine.

I joined the team at Principal Business Travel at the start of 2023 and am thoroughly enjoying working with this vibrant and friendly team. My main role is to head up the Meeting and Events division and manage our Principal Rewards, whilst also providing support to the reservations team in sourcing and booking hotel reservations and other business-related travel arrangements. 

My days are varied; I could be locating venues to hold small, intimate lunch meetings to full-scale corporate events for 100’s of delegates and anything in between; generally organising all the necessary arrangements including contract negotiations with the venue and any third parties on behalf of our clients. The Principal Rewards is a very special part of my role, where I get to track the points our clients have earned through their bookings and reward them for their business and loyalty; the reward (treats) are all about wellbeing and enhancing their travel experience wholistically. Whilst receiving a 'proper old-fashioned personal service' the Principal way!

When I’m not at work…I spend a lot of time with my family who are growing up fast. I love walking our dogs and, of course, family adventures & holidays. When I can I enjoy cooking and socialising with friends, planning the next great adventure and perhaps going for a run from time to time!

I joined this amazing team in October 2021 just as travel was beginning to open again after the pandemic.

Primarily my main task is on Reservations, processing quotes and bookings from emails in a timely and efficient manner and assisting my colleagues where needed.  Also, various administration tasks involving preparing bookings for our accounts team, chasing invoices from suppliers and checking airline queues for messages/cancellations/reschedules.  Effective communication across the team is key to ensuring the smooth running of our operations.

During my own time, I enjoy being outside as much as possible gardening, walking, spending time with family and friends and running my 13-year-old around for all his various activities.

Dan Sanderson

As the social media guru at Principal Business Travel, Dan has been instrumental in shaping the company’s vibrant online presence across five key platforms. From eye-catching destination guides to promotional campaigns, his creative flair and marketing support have helped bring the Principal brand to life.

Having completed his BTEC Sport Diploma, Dan is now combining his passion for fitness and adventure with a bold new direction—training as a ski instructor in Austria before heading to Myoko, Japan, to teach on the slopes this winter.

A devoted skier and lifelong sports enthusiast, Dan thrives in high-energy environments, whether that's building engaging content for our clients or carving through fresh powder in the mountains. He will continue to support Principal Business Travel remotely throughout his travels, working online from the slopes and bringing a fresh perspective to our social content - snow boots and all.

We’ll be cheering Dan on from the UK and can’t wait to see where his journey takes him next.

Evie Hillier

I joined the Principal Business Travel reservations team in the summer of 2022 and continue to support hotel ground transportation and flight enquiries on a part-time basis. These days, you’ll often find me working from my university room in Nottingham, where I’m currently in my second year studying Criminology. Balancing studies and work has been a great experience - and I enjoy staying connected to the team and our clients, even from afar.

Over time, I’ve expanded my role at Principal to take on new responsibilities, including running our social media platforms and creating blog content. It’s been a brilliant opportunity to get involved in the marketing side of the business and develop new creative skills alongside my studies.

Before starting my degree, I spent an unforgettable year travelling and working across Australia and New Zealand, building on my earlier experience of a working exchange trip to Mityana, Uganda. That time abroad really cemented my love of travel and the importance of experiencing different cultures.

Outside of work and study, I enjoy reading, dancing and discovering new places whenever I can.
