Do you have any business flights this week? Well, perfect timing! Many of our clients
opt for carry-on luggage to avoid queues at airports. We have complied a list of our
top 5 most useful tips to help you fit everything into your luggage.
Before you start packing, please check your airlines carry-on policy. Size and weight
limits may vary. Be sure your bag qualifies before you start packing
- Use packing cubes
- These keep clothes organised, compresses space and makes repacking much less hassle!
- Know where everything is – assign a cube per category (eg. tops, trousers, underwear) or per outfit/day!
2. Choose versatile clothing
- Pack fabrics that are lightweight and wrinkle-resistant like performance
- blends or merino wool.
- Pick neutral colours and multi-purpose layers. Double up clothing for
- meetings and evening events!
- Limit items such as shoes – one comfy and one smart-casual will
- suffice. If needed, you can always slip in a pair of flip flops.
3 Wear your bulkiest items
- Travel in your heaviest jeans, jumpers and shoes. Be wary of this heat, but it will be cooler in the airports!
- This saves space and avoids weight issues.
4 Mini toiletry strategy
- Use refillable 100ml bottles for liquids.
- Skip hotel basics – they usually provide shampoo/soap.
- Consider solid toiletries (shampoo bars and deodorant sticks) to avoid liquid restrictions.
5 Go Digital
- Use travel apps for boarding passes, maps and itineraries – PBT give them to you online anyway, no need for a printer unless specifically instructed.
- Store travel documents, books and entertainment on your kindle, tablet or phone.
Wherever you’re off to, a little planning goes a long way. By following Casey’s tips, you’ll breeze through the airport without any stresses. Travel smart, travel light.
