Discussions surrounded traveller wellbeing, global disruption, small business resilience and the evolving role of human support in business travel.
We loved welcoming Caroline Nokes MP to our office in Longparish this morning to meet the team behind Principal Business Travel and discuss the realities of modern business travel in an increasingly unpredictable world.
During the visit, we spoke about the current disruption affecting travellers across the Middle East, the growing importance of traveller wellbeing and the role small businesses like ours play in supporting people when global events suddenly impact their journeys.
Over the last few years, business travel has become far more than simply booking flights and hotels. Whether responding to geopolitical disruption, airline changes, Covid-era uncertainty or last-minute travel crises, our team is often helping travellers navigate stressful and fast-moving situations while providing reassurance, practical support and a calm human voice when it matters most.
One of the most interesting parts of the conversation was discussing the emotional side of travel disruption and how much difference it can make for travellers to have someone managing the stress and uncertainty on their behalf. Caroline commented on how important that support must be for people trying to navigate rapidly changing situations.
We also had the opportunity to discuss the realities of running a female-led small business in 2026, including resilience, customer care and the importance of maintaining a personal approach in an increasingly automated world.
It was wonderful to share more about our wellbeing-focused approach to business travel and the values that continue to drive our team after more than 26 years in business.
A huge thank you to Caroline for taking the time to visit us, and for showing such genuine interest in the people behind the bookings.
